Identity Design

One of the rejected concepts for QMP's logo.

Identity Design started as a fluke. One of my teachers had us design a title block along with our own logo. What I came up with was an early version of the Big Blue D I still use today. This was in our senior year and so I was also working on my resume at the time and worked it into a whole Personal Identity Package.

I showed a few people my new nifty resume and business cards and suddenly I had lots of people asking if I could to the same for them.

Business Cards
I love doing business cards, they make for a satisfying design exercise. You have limited space, a long list of required text and usually a logo. It all has to fit, look good and look different than anyone elses.

Logo Design
Some of these individuals have come to me to create the logos and Identity Packages for their organizations or small businesses. You will find a few of these here.

Web Design
Finally, as the web grows in importance, more people are realizing that their Identity Package is not complete without a web site. Although I personally do not know a lot of programming languages, I do have the design skills to create a good looking, well laid-out site and so I have been asked to design about one web site a year. This page has a list of web sites I helped design and a decription of my level of involvement with each one.
